Working at the intersection of generative AI, 3D animation, and XR, I construct immersive visuals that probe the dialogue between human experience and the digital realm. My work navigates themes of memory, transformation, and the intricate interplay between our organic world and technology, mapping shifting moods and inner narratives. These digital landscapes are invitations to explore the terrains of the mind — challenging, reflective, and ever-evolving. Guided by tech-optimism, I strive to blur the lines between physical and digital realities, envisioning a non-dystopian future

Bio

Alexey Severin (b. 1985), working under the alias Inverse, is a media artist, AI filmmaker, and creative technologist based in Udine, Italy. His practice sits at the intersection of generative AI, 3D animation, and extended reality, producing immersive visual works that explore memory, transformation, and the shifting boundary between the organic and the digital.

Formed by more than twelve years in visual effects, motion design, and interactive 3D, his work bridges traditional craft and generative tools. Its guiding principle is restraint and intention: technology in service of the image, never announcing itself.

His work was selected for The Screen at OFFF Barcelona 2026 and projected onto the façade of the Disseny Hub, Barcelona's design museum. Other works have been shown at Ars Electronica, the AI Film Festival Amsterdam, Cluster Photography & Print Fair in London, Digital Design Days, the Buenos Aires International Fashion Film Festival, and CADAF. His film Larissa Lumina won the Fashion & Beauty category at the 2024 AI Ad Contest.

Alongside his personal practice, Severin collaborates across art, culture, and industry — from digital sculpture and augmented reality for Recycle Group's Blocked Content at the Russian Pavilion of the 57th Venice Biennale, to Null Place (with Recycle Group for Louis Vuitton's Louis 200 initiative, shown in Louis Vuitton stores worldwide), to the AI-driven restoration and animation of archival photographs for a documentary on the 1976 Friuli earthquake. He has guest-taught AI at IUAV University of Venice, and his AR work has been featured by Snapchat's Lens Studio, Mashable, and The Verge. His commercial practice includes work for Warner Bros., Adobe, Louis Vuitton, Snapchat, Fincantieri, Illy, Ring, and Fred Olsen, and he is a core creative at The Next Valley, a hybrid AI/VFX studio founded by former leadership of The Mill and MPC
